LIVE REVIEW: realz 'Get Set' EP show
"his charismatic personality came across to the audience."
Realz 'Get Set' EP show at Hoxton Bar and Kitchen proved he's not playing around this year. Working the stage, whilst bringing out the featured artists from the EP and telling humbling stories throughout, his charismatic personality came across to the audience.
The show was opened by Gen, who effortlessly shelled it down with his electric energy and the delivery of his bars. He engaged with the audience with bursts of jumpy movements, performing tracks such as ‘Nottingham Trent.’ Gen’s stage presence was a force, with the audience have as much fun watching as he seemed to have on stage. Next up was AP. His music had the whole room bopping their heads as he rapped, thanks to his catchy flow and smooth bars, setting the scene for Realz’s arrival.
Realz came to the stage in a vibrant all red tracksuit, going straight into his first track without any hesitation. Rhymez later joined him, with them going back to back, making their musical chemistry obvious to anyone there. SNE also made an appearance riling up the audience, performing ’Got To Be’ taking the vibe to a new level. Realz then went on to thank his father for being at the show before dipping into a freestyle before plugging his Lord Of The Mics performance.
After a short break, Realz returned wearing a balaclava to perform a few more songs. He performed a new song inspired by death of his friend creating a more sombre feeling. To pick the mood back up, Geovarn made his entrance for ‘25’ gaining a big reaction from the crowd and ending on a well-deserved high vibe.
Our Feat Favourite from the EP is Turn Up featuring Flayva and we’re excited to see what Realz will do next, if his first headline show wasn’t enough to go by.
